John Podesta & the Twitter “Blast”

Good article. On November 12th, 2014, American University hosted the UFO event at which Leslie Kean, Dr. Richard Haines, Colonel Charles Halt and Tom Carey were the panelists.

I was more than a professor who taught a UFO Honors course, I produced the entire event. What is not known is that through Leslie, I was introduced to John Podesta and spoke repeatedly to his executive assistant beginning February, 2014, ten months before the event.

No one knew this except Leslie and the powers that be at AU, but in the Fall 2014, John agreed to be the Key Note surprise guest speaker to open the Nov. 12th panel presentation/discussion in the AU Abramson Recital Hall. Two weeks before the event because of travel, he had to change his participation from an actual appearance to a 5-8 minute videotape message on the need for disclosure and government transparency. Three days before the event, he cancelled. Frankly, I told the admins at AU and Leslie months before that I was expecting him to cancel. Why? Because there is too much at stake for him, and those he is associated with at the White House in the Obama administration.

In 2002 at a 2002 press conference organized by the Coalition for Freedom of Information, John Podesta spoke about the importance of disclosing government UFO investigations to the public. John Podesta wrote the Foreword for Leslie Kean in her remarkable book UFOs: GENERALS, PILOTS, AND GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS GO ON RECORD. Both times, it was a big step, and Mr. Podesta took a big risk because of the stigma placed upon anyone who speaks out encouraging transparency, more research and a greater openness in the UFO/UAP debate. Leslie was very fortunate, and was very smart, in securing John Podesta to write that Foreword. The stature and quality of Leslie Kean’s book was well deserved. But that was then, this is now.

I am not sure in the near future if John Podesta will speak again as he did in the Foreword and a status that has been attributed to him since 2002. There are too many political chips in the pot to do it. That happened on November 12th at AU on a carefully designed and orchestrated conference that I controlled at every level.

I admire Mr. Podesta for speaking out to date, but the stakes are much higher now. There is so much polarization, waiting in the extremes of a bi-polar stance, not knowing knowing the outcome like Lady Justice holding a sword in one hand and a balance in the other. It becomes a question of whose definition of balance it is. And who defines the boundaries.

I doubt if we will ever have disclosure and government transparency because there is too much at stake for people in power, not just people in the public mainstream, but powerful people behind the scenes. If it happens, it will be at the grass roots level until it can no longer be ignored.

“Alien Contact: Science & Science Fiction”: HNRS 302-007 Coming to American University. Fall, 2104

This course ALIEN CONTACT: SCIENCE & SCIENCE FICTION is about mankind’s desire for extraterrestrial contact. We will see classic science fiction films— Buck Rogers, Flash Gordon, The Day The Earth Stood Still, War of the Worlds, 2010 A Space Odyssey, Andromeda Strain, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Alien, Men in Black, Contact, District 9, Solaris, and Out of the Blue and read the novels the spawned them as well as examine television shows (Twilight Zone and X-Files) that have become part of our “alien pop culture” for fifty years. Archival news footage of space exploration will be integrated into the course as well as interviews with Carl Sagan, Stephen Hawking and Michio Kaku. We will examine the historical links between film and television to historical world events as they relate to increased reports of contact. We will read and study about the Roswell Incident in 1947, the Phoenix lights in 1997, and other UFO phenomena revealed by the recent declassification of international government files on UFO sightings.

Leslie Kean, an investigative journalist known internationally, will be a guest speaker to discuss UFO contacts reported by generals, fighter pilots, air traffic controllers, directors of military installations, and heads of state. She will discuss these interviews, show photos and transcripts of a UFO that event that occurred in 2006 over the United terminal at O’Hare Airport, of a wave of UFO sightings that occurred in upper state New York in the 1980s, of a dogfight with a UFO over Tehran, of a sighting where over ten thousand people, along with the governor of Arizona, saw a UFO the size of several football fields float silently 1,000 feet above the city, and more.

Colonel Charles Halt will also be a guest speaker in the class. He was deputy base commander of a large military twin-base complex in East Anglia, England when on December 26 and 27, 1980, a UFO landed in the forest just outside the base.

Along with his heads of security and several other personnel, Colonel Halt approached the UFO, and stood only feet away from it recording the event. He will play the recording in class, and show a plaster imprint of the UFO’s tripod foot. He will discuss this famous Rendlesham Forest event and answer questions about it and UFO government cover-ups.

There has never been a course like this: science fiction, the science of space travel with footage of humankind’s venture into space, and incidents of verifiable UFO/alien contact, all rolled up into one class.

Snleeting by the Road on a Snowy Afternoon

Today, as I sat at a high top table in the window nook of the Nola Cafe in Frederick, Maryland sipping my whole milk/skim milk blend of a cafe mocha (delicious I might add) and looking out into the tight old city street of downtown Frederick, where cars lined the curbs on both sides of the one way street, trunks to hoods like colorful beads arranged one after another on a wire, a necklace that hangs on the curves and straight lines of a woman’s neck, I watched ten days after the Vernal Equinox as slushy icey rain and snow fell onto the hooded and trunked, umbrella-ed perturbed people their eyes wide open, heads down, sloshing their cautious way up the grey old town Frederick street.

Snow. Street. Ice. Sleet. Snleet. It was definitley snleet. It was a snleetish day. Snlettish way. SNLEET.

Hooray! I say for this snleet today!

Back in the Saddle Combating Leukemia & Lymphoma

The worst part about being hit by a car while cycling in Santa Monica on May 5, 2012 (including the broken bones and the pain from a splinter that broke off my L5/S1 disc and lodged in my r. sciatic nerve) was not being able to ride on my bike, i.e century rides (100 miles on a bike) with Team and Training (TNT) for nearly one year. And then, six months later being unable to participate in my first TNT East coast event (with my TNT team-the National Capital Chapter) in the Seagull Century because of a severely torn right meniscus two weeks before the ride. It was disheartening. In my periodic self-pity, I thought, “Who am I to bitch and complain?” Mine are temporary setbacks when the people whom I riding for (those with Leukemia, Lymphoma, Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma) are struggling everyday to stay alive and endure as much chemo and radiation treatments, and blood infusions, so they can be around for as long as they can will it for their children, their spouses, their parents. That is why I ride with TNT.

Besides teaching and writing (both about which I am passionate), cycling gives meaning to my life, i.e. turn the pedals to help others. It is logo-therapeutic for me. (aka Viktor Frankl in his incredible book Man’s Search for Meaning). The people whom I ride with, the Mission Moment stories that we share about their family members and friends who are struggling, or have passed away as a result of a blood cancer, the humor and jokes exchanged, the attention to my physical conditioning as I attempt “to ward off” aging (if that is possible), all of it gives me strength, and hopefully with the few dollars that I can raise will help extend or save a life. I am so grateful.

The first photo here was taken at our 25-mile SAG stop so we could refuel. It was on our Nokesville ride, 45 miles, our 2nd major ride of the season training for the Jamestown Gran Fondo Century ride on June 8 in Williamsburg, VA. These are committed great people, fit, fun and determined.

This is the top of Sugarloaf Mountain in Dickerson, Maryland. It was taken on Saturday, March 22, 2014 where we rode. Our 3rd major training ride. 51.24 miles, 2,912 feet of climbing.

Professor John Weiskopf Wed. 5:30- 8 p.m.

If enough students sign up for the course, I will be teaching this course about mankind’s curiosity for extraterrestrial contact. We will see classic science fiction films from the 1950s to the present and read the novels the spawned them as well as examine television shows that have become part of our “alien pop culture” for fifty years (Twilight Zone, X-Files). Archival news footage of space exploration (Sputnik, Mercury series, Apollo 11, the ISS, the Hubble, the Mars Rover) will be integrated into the course as well as interviews with Carl Sagan, Stephen Hawking and Michio Kaku. We will examine the historical links between films and television to historical world events as they relate to increased reports of contact. We will read and study about the Roswell Incident in 1947, the Phoenix lights in 1997, and other UFO phenomena revealed by the recent declassification of international government files on UFO sightings. Investigative journalist Leslie Kean, who wrote NY Times best-selling book “UFOs: Generals, Pilots, and Government Officials go on Record” about worldwide UFO sightings and global government reports, will be a featured guest speaker, along with Colonel Charles I. Halt, retired U.S. Air Force deputy base commander of RAF Bentwaters in East Anglia, England when on December 26 & 27, 1980 a UFO appeared on the just outside the base and was witnessed by Colonel Halt and several other high security personnel.

It is known as the famous “Rendelsham Forest Incident.”

Pisco Sour: Reminscence of Peru

On July 22, 1996, Monday, two days after I met my wife Judy in Bolivia, I traveled to Cuzco, Peru where I would take a train at 5:30 a.m. from Cuzco, Peru to Machu Picchu speaking Spanish to a train filled with tourists from Brazil. They spoke Portuguese ; I spoke Spanish (well I attempted as much). Comical and frustrated, there was much pointing and head shaking. Annie Ullrich, a close friend in SoCal, told me that my trip to South America, “would change my life personally and professionally.” It did.

Tonight, February 17, 2014, Judy and I made Pisco sours, a drink I first tasted on that crisp, Andean and ancient evening as I sat outside at a table in the heart of Cuzco, Peru. The air smelled of cobblestone streets, Inka woman dressed in colorful woolen shawls wearing bowler hats, and men scuffling along the cobblestone streets in song and conversation. The taste lifted me back. This was a “clean well-lighted place”where I ended up that night sitting on that iron, green round stool watching people amble through the streets. I took a sip. The distinctive Pisco taste gave a taste to those journeyers and locals before me. Hours passed, I guess. I do not remember how long, but time did not matter. Cycling To Raise Money for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society

I am a teacher. I am a writer. I am producer. I am a cyclist. I am a member of the National Capital TNT Chapter. I’m cycling 100 miles on October 5, 2013 with my team in Salisbury, Maryland to raise money for blood cancer research and support the LLS (Leukemia & Lymphoma Society).

My “Team in Training” (TNT) Team has raised over $124,000 to help stop Leukemia & Lymphoma. I have raised $1,025.00 to date. I ride twice a week to train for the Century ride in October,

My honored teammate is Dayle Zukor. She is the wife of a close friend in Los Angeles, California. At 63 years old, Dayle was diagnosed with Hairy Cell Leukemia a form of CLL (Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia). Dayle is a grandmother of six, mother of two sons, wife, and successful interior designer. She was in a convent for one year studying to be a nun so she could “do for others & help the world become a better place.” Later in her life, she converted to Judaism. [Read more…]

John Rides a Century (102 miles) for Leukemia & Lymphoma

On February 12, 2011 I was supposed to ride a Century Bicycle Ride (102 miles) with my “Team In Training” group for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society in Palm Springs, but my ulnar nerve had a different idea. For me, there will no bicycling for six weeks after my surgery.

Out of commitment and gratitude for my Leukemia & Lymphoma Society donors, I rode 102.86 miles on Saturday Jan. 22 after our Team in Training rode 81 miles; I did an additional 21.86 miles through Marina Del Rey, Venice, Santa Monica, and Brentwood and then back to Playa Del Rey’s Lagoon Park. Patty LaVigne and Chris Trent from Team in Training rode with me. Judy and I (with my left arm bandaged) will be with our “Team In Training” team to support them on February 12 in Palm Springs at the Tour De Palm Springs.

I rode Saturday January 22, 2011 to fulfill my commitment to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, to thank those who made donations to the LLS cause, and to remember those individuals and family members who have struggled against Leukemia and Lymphoma. You will see the names of people inscribed on a bracelet which I had made and wore at my Century Ride on Saturday. I read their names aloud to my team before we rode off at 8:00 a.m.

The Ascendancy – Imagination & Vision

There is a profound change that is taking place on our planet…

Millions of people across the earth are feeling it. It is a universal sociological phenomena. It is political; it is religious. It is spiritual. It affects every aspect of every society on our planet, and will gather increasing momentum as our world approaches 2012.

THE ASCENDANCY first began as a screenplay years before the events of September 11, 2001. The characters, the plot, the central images and the locations were essentially unchanged when I wrote the novel, but since the world had drastically changed since September 11, the way the novel was perceived, by fact, had also changed. In essence, reality had colored and dramatically changed fiction.

As an author, who is passionate and committed to the theme of my novel, I decided that I had to preserve the story with its characters, locations, conflicts and symbols intact, as I had originally written it long before that horrific Tuesday morning, September 11, 2001.

Years of research, as well as several journeys to South America, went into the information contained in The Ascendancy. The Yamqui Drawing, or Jack’s dream, is an actual manuscript of chronicler Juan de Santacruz Pachakuti Yamqui Salcamaygua. It is the cosmological diagram of the Incas as the chronicler drew it four hundred years ago.

The prophecies of the Hopi and the Incas, the mathematics of the Mayan Calendar, the documented fall and subsequent collapse of the Inca civilization in Cajamarca, the discovery of the Bible Code by Dr. Eliyahu Rips, the Keck Observatory on Mauna Kea in Hawaii, the architecture of Machu Picchu in the Andes of Peru, all of these are based upon extensive research of historical events, scientific theories, and ascendant locations of our Earth.

What is remarkable is that the oral and written prophecies of diverse indigenous peoples, who were separated by centuries and thousands of miles, are similar, if not, in some cases, identical. What may be even more remarkable is that the knowledge derived by these peoples from listening to the earth and the universe leads us to the same conclusions obtained from the scientific research of quantum physics, string theory, mathematics and archaeology using the most sophisticated computers. These different indigenous cultures have collectively left a powerful message for us at the brink of the 21st Century.

Just as there is a diversity of cultures and governments on our planet, there is diversity in how humankind derives it information. They are all valid.

Out of the death and debris of September 11, 2001, there is a great hope, if we are willing to see it and we are willing to ascend.
